The Cold Hard Facts on Free Cars

Free Cars: Too Good To Be True?

If you are like me, when you first heard about the possibility of people somehow getting free cars, it sounded too good to be true. You may be surprised to find out that it is very close to the truth. Advertising is a big business today, and many people who want to advertise are priced out of the market for billboards and other advertising space by big firms. Ad agencies have discovered that by giving people Free Cars With Advertising on them, companies could save money on advertising, get their product name out there, and give people transportation in the process.

If you already own or lease a car, you may be interested to know that these same companies will occasionally pay people to put advertising on their own cars. The ads are magnetic or vinyl and will not damage your car.

Let me give you an example of how the whole process of free cars works. For example, a candy company will tell an ad agency that they want to advertise. The ad company then gets a car or truck and wraps the entire body of the car in advertising for the candy company. Next, they take applications from people who want to drive free cars. Acceptance is based on several considerations, including driving record and location.

So how do you apply? There are a number of websites that allow you to apply to several companies at once. For a fee, they allow you to apply to their resources for free cars. Be wary of websites that promise to find free cars for you to drive and thousands of dollars in payment as well.

In a way, the phrase "free cars" is a misnomer. However, the price you pay for the car is driving it around all day, which you would be doing anyway. The only real cost to you is gas and insurance. Some companies will also pay an hourly rate for you to drive a specific route. At the end of the term, you may purchase the car, lease it or return it.

Now that you understand the whole free cars process, it makes more sense, doesn't it? It is worth it to these companies to provide people with free cars, because they are getting something out of the deal as well.
